Ok so my female rose queen just laid but I'm not sure if it was last night or this morning. She was divided with my 9" texas that I only had for a week now. Notice they was dancing for one another so I removed the divider and all went well. Now I just hope he fertilized the eggs because I want to focus on creating some really good red texas without using blood parrots. Will be posting pictures in a few.

If she already layed and then u removed your divider then say by bye to your texas.

You shouldve just let her eat the eggs n try again someother time.
Good luck

I keep my rose queen n Texas separate cause she fights him so much, but after she lays I let them together and she allows him to to fertilize the eggs. After a day or two I have to divide them again. Not saying this works for everyone.

Hmmm
Usually the mothers instinct is to protect the eggs after she lays.if the eggs were already layed nd then u add a male. She can super aggresive defend the eggs.
Just saying

she push him from time to time but also allows him to fan the eggs.

the divider was moved before she laid. Tuesday night when I went to feed them blood worms and krill I didn't see any eggs but Wednesday morning I went to feed them I noticed the whole pot was loaded with eggs.

Good luck with your project. Raising a really red Red Texas is a major challenge. I have tried many crosses with very limited results.
