Rose queen is an evil tyrant!

You could also try another bigger fish. Something with some attitude like a male salvini. I'm not a fan of over stocking tanks but just another suggestion.
Having the Midas in there alone wouldn't be so bad. My 8inch midevil has a tank to himself and I love him. He is really interactive.

Prob is theres no guarantee that a salvini will not do the exact same thing as the Rose Queen. What size tank is ur 8in MD in? Any tank mates at all? Even pleco?

I totally agree with you. There is no for sure thing with cichlids haha. The reason I would add another fish is because the rose queen will target both of them. It would just spread the aggression out some.
He is in a 75. No tankmates. I'm pretty sure he would destroy anything alive.

Any fish to had that have less of a chance being aggressive themselves?

Not many, most things that get big enough to deal with a Midas are they themselves aggressive or much to timid for it.maybe a vieja like syn could work

Midas and red devils are known to claim an entire tank unless 8ft or bigger. They're pretty damn aggressive and intolerant of tank mates.

just get non-cichlid dithers and such that'll get too big for the oscar to eat. it can make a tank fuller looking and more interesting without aggression problems.
