they're great snakes, the only problem is price. a 12 incher can be $150:eek:
the only way i was able to get her was adopting her(free:D) from my teacher, who had been left with it when her son went off to the military. i would also guess that her son's wife played a part:ROFL:

Free is always good :D

I could get an '09 female for $65, I might get one eventually.

Thats huge rosy boa. Never heard of even the big females getting that big .

I was reading awhile back on flying geckos and read they nip and hard to contain in the tank when cleaning it ?

How long have you had him/her what temps do you house him/her in?

I just happen to like geckos lol

mine has only nipped me once, but that may be because i never hold him. if i did, he'd be gone in a few seconds!:nilly: cleaning the tank is tricky, and he actively looks or escape opportunities. i manage it by using a small rubbermaid container and trap him on the wall, then slide the lid (with holes in the top) on and press it in place. i then set him down on a desk out of the sun and clean the tank. when I'm done i just put the rubbermaid in, open it, and wait until he is sleeping on the underside of a branch, then i remove the rubbermaid. I've had him for about two years in a ten gallon with a wire/mesh extension on the top. in the summer i dont use any heating, as the tank is upstairs and we live in Texas. in the winter, i use a zoo med 25 watt basking lamp, so the tank is kept at about 75-83 degrees (changes during night/day in summer) if you would like to know, i co-habit him with 2 anoles, a green one and one that we caught, we don't know for sure what kind it is... draco (the gecko) is about 7-8 inches, the ga is 3 inches, and the ?a is 4 inches. no behavioral problems yet, not even the anoles.:D

Thanks for the info. I read how fast they were but by looking at them would have never guessed that. Which is why I asked.

They are neat looking thanks for the care info.

45 inch snake in a ten gallon with three random lizards :nono: you should really do something about that and it should still have a heat gradient...

i dont believe it is in a 10g with the lizards. its in a 40 isnt it? and the gecko seperate?
