Thanks for the pics. I just got one a week ago and it's about 2-1/2". Now I know what I have to look forward to.

From what I have been told the males have worming between the eyes and the females just plain turquoise face. Mine is a female and has a plain turquoise face with no worming. I am pretty sure she is a female because I have just added what I believe to be a male red spotted gold (he has worming) and he is displaying mating behaviour to her by slapping his tail in her face and vibrating around her. I have called them Rhubarb and Custard lol.

cause i saw some great rotkeils there in october lol.

and wow sunshinehippy i never thought mine was a girl, but i guess its true that if he was male by now he would have some kind of worming right ?

It's a female...a nice one too

Females have a "blank" face - no marking or "worming" between the eyes.
