Round 2

Your house is gonna get over run by fry lol

It is! I have fry everywhere. Only one tank doesn’t have fry or eggs. And I’ve already been trying to figure out if I can move the bigger fry over safely.
Next will be setting up another pond for the older fry till they are ready to be sold.

Today I can see eyes and tails in the goldie eggs and a few koi eggs too. Sadly I think most of the koi eggs aren’t fertilize that I took out.
I do have a fine mesh pool leaf net holding a bunch of material out in the pond. It seems to be working great to keep them from being eaten. I’ll see how many hatch and then decide what I’m going to do with them.

I couldn’t get a very good picture, but here are the Goldie eggs. C94FE464-BE74-4614-A2A8-97A56075CCDC.jpeg

Do you belong to a pond club? May be a good place to sell/give away all these fry

No. I’m on some groups on Facebook, but not a member of the local club. They have an auction once a year and I know other events pop up with opportunities to sell too. I might look into those if I have any nicer ones to sell. I’m not too impressed with them yet.

It's hard to find good quality koi in the United States , most of the better koi are from Asia , although I've seen some good German koi

Yes. The nicest koi are the ones imported. I have both Japanese and German koi. The German was domestically bred here though. So not a true “German bred” koi. All mine are pond grade of course. And my fist few are just petco mutts.
Maybe someday I’ll be able to stomach spanding three digits on one fish, lol.
