Its in my room which just cabinets and a computer, the floor is wood and theres a sliding glass door that is 5 feet away, which leads to the backyard and drains, so my parents shouldn't mind if it leaks a little.
im gonna fill the tank soon with just plain water and leave it for a week and see how it goes :D

Good luck :)

I would only fill it about 20%, then wait a day and increase to 40%, etc. This way if a leak shows up you lose a lot less water.

Also i was wondering if i should be worried about evaporation from my sump, my cabinet isn't stained and because of my skimmer i can't give the sump full coverage, i try to cover up the gaps as much as possible and im wondering if the evaporation will do a bit of damage to the cabinet?
theres no light so there shouldn't be mold.

Light doesnt really affect mold...in fact, I find mold in dark, wet, stagnent places.

This sounds like a bad situaiton. I stained, and sealed every inch of my 125g stand, and Im still a little worried. Maybe get a dehumidifier for the room?

+1 to the no light. I think most mold actually prefers low light areas.

Are there any holes in the back of the stand? If so, I would get a small clip on fan and blow the air out of the hole.

I think that a dehumidifier would be an expensive way to go. Running that thing all the time would be costly and all it would do is speed up evaporation in your tank.

theres 2 holes about the size of a fist each at one end, and the cabinet use to be a divider, so theres doors on both sides and at 1 end

I would blow the fan out one or both of the holes depending on how close together they are.

the holes are close to eachother.
i might just get a hang on skimmer cause i don't need a strong big one. so then i don't have to put this over sized crap skimmer in the sump and then almost all the gaps are closed on the sump :D

Might not be a bad idea as long as you plan on stocking your tank pretty lightly. The oversized skimmer would obviously be better no matter what, but it sounds like you may be better off for reasons besides water quality with going with the hang on skimmer.

its a jebo 520, i was gonna use a crap skimmer cause well im only have a dwarf lionfish and a few medium tank mates, wanna keep it light cause of my last 3 hetic years of highschool.
im gonna get a hang on, most likely a octopus reef.
anyone know any other good brands that make a good hang on skimmer?

Aqua C Remoras are very good. That is my choice as your best bet. They are easy to use and clean and they aren't overly expensive for a quality skimmer.
