Ive now Succsessfully gotten him to eat Tilapia fillet, though im not sure if he mere attacked the strips of meat like he does everything else that comes near the opening of his cave. But he did eat 3-4 small strips, I still keep some comets around just to watch him hunt, hes so much gracefuller than my TSN when hunting down food.
I also just got one yesterday about the same size as yours. I was a bit worried about him in the tank cos there are a few fish that are a lot bigger than him, but no problems so far.

When i went to a fishshop they had a shipment of clown knives and i noticed a royal in there and they let me have him for the same price as they didn't order it, it came in with the order. i got it for £8 at a 4" mark.
