Royal Clown vs. Regular Clown

I keep mine with my 14" aro, 2-3.5" clown loaches, 1 5" fei feng, and a 7" pictus cat and he only gets pissed when the aro gets real close to his territory. other than that sple rules apply. Make sure tankmates won't fit into its mouth.

Just a note to mention that they have bigger mouths than they appear to have.
I'd be paranoid to put a tankmate in with one unless it was half as large or more.

i would not worry on tank mates that are more tall than slender like silver dollars or pacus. but unlike picke cichlids and other torpedo shaped fish they should be at least the size of the knife but there are exceptions.
