Royal Green Terrors. Any experience?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
those must be the ones that are on the top row of the first aisle. As soon as I buy that 75 gal. that they are holding there, one of those babies is mine. Steve is a nice guy.

Yeah those are them in with the Firemouths.(BTW: those Firemouths have the most intense color I have seen on that type of fish.Might have to pic up one of them too) The regular GT's are the next row over. The Royals definately have a nicer color. Is Steve the big tall guy that is really friendly? Is he the owner?

I've been seeing more and more Royal GT's recently, at first I didn't think much of them because the ones I saw at work were smaller, and not a big price difference between them and standard GT's. We've had a couple of large ones come in recently, and some are quite stunning, really long fins, glowing orange, etc. I think the last one we sold was like $40 for a 5" GT, where a standard would go for $20-$25 at that size. Of all the distributors we buy from, only one consistently carries them, and they're located in the Worcester area. I'd say go for it and get one.

Thanks for the info. I am gonna get one. I like GT's too much not to and I am curious to see how it will compare to my regular when they get bigger. Was the green alot more vibrant on the 5" one you sold compared to the regular?

Tucc where do you work?

The greens on my reg are at least as nice as my royal.

Mine are in 7.8ph liquid rock.

what do you think about just one of those GT's in a 50 gallon tank? It's a 50 Gal. that's about 2 feet wide.
