go for length like aro . my gck does chill in his spot alot but that is about the space i have for him right now ... he need more i think...actually the pond hes in is 7x4x2 pushing 21inches...

for life? i would say 4-5x10x4 deep... bigger is better

i think a 8x4x4 tank is pretty sick so that would work too for quite a while if its a tank or something with viewing window.. (one of my plans for a ply tank this sized might be on order for parts very soon .)

a long time if u could go 3ft deep it would be life i recon its a good home for him

2 ft is the deepest i can go is that ok

yea itll be fine in 2 feet deep. once its past 24 inches they usually hit a foot in height so more the better =)
your pond will work for quite some time ! heated??
