Royal knife shape?

Hey everyone,

Looking at buying a RCK and its about 10-11". The picture i was sent isn't the best quality so its hard to see. Just wanted to know if you think its deformed or really high bodied? The owner said its a more rounded body, is this normal? Also does anyone have any experience keeping them with Senegal Bichir. Mine's about 9", I am abit worried about it eating him in the future.

it does look rather high bodied but I have seen other knives that look similar im not sure however if it is a deformity or at all detrimental

I am trying to get some new pics today. These fish don't come up often in aus especially for this price that's why i am a little hesitant. Its eating whitebait, market shrimp and occasionally pellets which is good but i dont want to buy a deformed fish. Do they get high bodies often in the u.s?

ur rck look as same as mine. i keep it with my senegals too. they are good tankmates.

RCKs tend to have a high body profile compared to regular CKs, from what I've seen. The picture that you have looks very tricky. Hopefully a new picture can clear it up.

I think the reason why it looks odd is because you can't see the tail and gives it the impression it's short n fat. Fingers crossed anyway.. I know RCK have around a 3 foot size in the wild but what's the average size of one kept in an aquarium all its life?

Here are two more pictures, still not a proper side view but gives you a better idea. Still only 25cm so it might grow into its height?Let me know what you think, is it sometimes seen or possibly deformed?
