RTC and Koi?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
good response Hayabusa. Arapaimg had a 5 ft Wallago Leeri eat his 4 ft arapaima......so it can happen even if the RTC grew up with the koi, it may one of the days take a chomp at one.

No, I can't see it working. The worlds biggest koi verses the biggest RTC cat's mouth?

I agree with the above statments.. If the koi aren't big enough to be eaten you should be ok.. But is your koi pond heated ??

Yep , it is.

And thanks for all the feedback guys , the Koi's are quite big, They dont look like they could fit in the RTC's (Catfish btw) mouth. But just to be safe i dont think ill put em together.

They didnt grow up together. I had the Koi's for a while now , the RTC is new i got his from my friend who had no more space to keep it.

i really really dont recomend this! i had a horrible experience with my FIRST RTC where he was pretty much put in with joi almost the same length as him. the shop that temporarily cared for him obviously didnt feed him enuf and he managed to attempt to swallow a koi of the same size!!!!

truth be told, they were both found dead in the morning with the koi down his throat. if he was still alive he wud be larger than any of my current fish today. really heartbreaking x_X
