I certainly wouldnt risk it unless the ray was quite a bit bigger than the cat to strat with. As the RTC would certainly outgrow the ray anyways so it would need a headstart.

it can go 1 of 3 ways or all

o yea and rtc usually grow 2 big for an aquarium

Figure that an RTC's talent in life is magically making big fish disappear. I'd put money on the fact that a 13" ray would be easily folded in half and down the hatch. Ultimately, the RTC WILL quickly out growth the ray, and he WILL eat the ray. Not a good match.
i wouldnt risk it either. i have a rtc that i had tankmates with thinking for sure he couldnt eat them. he sure did. first was a tsn which was maybe just smaller than he was and he swallowed it whole. then he ate a severum who was on his way to a different home but was always too big for him to eat. i found it halfway in the rtc's mouth. it took him three days to get it down but he sure did.
i thought about doing the same but after looking at these answers i think i will wait untill after my big cats go in my pond. could it work with a tsn?
