idk if salt helps with gill curl... i know it helps with alot of sickness'...i have used table salt for ick and i am now useing it for a fungus...put the temp to like 84f...add 1 tablespoon for every 5 gal make sure the salt is disolved first and add it slowly...people say table salt is not good but, lupin said it doesn't matter in the sick forum...i used it with tsns and aros and no issuses so there it is...

alrighty,

well looks ill be heading out to grab some melafix, another bottle of stress coat, and see what else gets recommended to me, hopefully I can nip this in the butt before it gets any worse

I had an RTC bleed to death attacked by the live feeder shrimps in the same tank.

maybe some more filtration....what do you have now on the tank

Im not sure on the model but its a canister style filter, its kept the tank in good condition with 4 arowanas in the tank at one time as well as a dozen 6-8" oscars at one time as well

Ill try to find and see if I can find the manual

the thing with cats is they are sensitive and if something is not just right they will shed and that makes the water worse so they shed more and more...at the same time they can not eat, vomit what they do eat and make the cycle worse and it could and mostlikely endup in a dead cat...i had a tank crash and lost a 12" rtcxtsn, 5" rtc, and a 3.5" tsn...just speaking from exp....now i have 1400gph on a 180gal...still need about 400gph more for an adult cat but they will go in a min 1100gal tank later...

I hear you,

Ill try to find the specs, so far he seems pretty happy, he finally worked off the shrimp from the last few days and was swimming around

He's been fed again and has gone back to "working" it off by wedging himself against the airstone

can i keep my 2ft red tail cat with my 45 cm saratoga jardini????
1012 litre tank. giant gourami and gibbis in there too.

rtcs have big mouths if you think it could fit it will eat it...if you like the 2 fish i wouldn't do it...the jar could try to kill the cat and provoke it into eatting the jar...just my opinion
