RTC claimed another victim

dont underestimate what he can fit in his mouth! a 20" rtc will easily consume a 12" fish... imagine in another year when he is 30" or so if he's hungry most fish will be fair game especially an arrowana which is the right shape to slip down easily... keeping him well fed is a good idea!

RTCs are bastards like that.

I had a $15 marble cat eat 2 leichardti aros the first night I got them. $350 down the tubes like that and a hard to replace fish. Then I fed the marble to my monsters whether it was right or wrong

I vote piranhas!!! If it dont get them first.

i'll break it down for you

My friend use to breed them in NC, wasn't exactly legal I don't think, but he would bring over some extras and I would feed them to my rtc all the time. They were usually around 4-5". I'd feed him around 6 at a time.

Damn, I would not have seen that one coming either. Sorry for your loss. Now I am worried about my two +/- 3" Sev's with my 9 or 10" Oscar all over again. But except for checking them out when I first put them in, he has left them alone. Still holding thumbs though.

Better luck next time.
