you sold them though...there mouths are not neerly as big... if you intend on keeping this fish(witch if you don't GL on selling as you may have to try to give it to someone) you should look to my listing of tankmates and mgk's and my suggestions...
I know how big they get but am putting him in a 800gal pond and plan on upgrading to a 1,000gal pond later on

if you know how big they get then you know that the only safe tankmates are big cats of equal size or large silver aros...or big ass pacu, but then you have the chewing risk...

How about a paroon shark?? Can a aro live in 74F water?

silver aros and rtcs live in the same region, but i would try to keep it warmmer the 74f...more like 78f to be save with the cool nights...paroons i think fall into the big cat catogory and should be ok...i don't remember what they top out at...maybe go to planetcatfish and take a look...if they are close they will work...i think they are fine though...

Anything you won't be heartbroken over losing if the cat eats it. I can't think of a single fish that would be 100% safe to put w/ a RTC.

i would suggest that you get all the other fish you would like first and think about adding rtc when they are all 24-30in as you can always pick up a grown on rtc at say 18in or grow your own in a few months.
