RTC disease?

last time i fed him goldfish was about a month ago(not including now of course and it wasn't me feeding the dead goldfish) and he ate 2 goldfish...then the next day i fed him the remaining two goldfish coz i bought 4(don't worry, it was the first time i fed him goldfish and never did it again till now)..he is getting skinny and i am very worried...don't want to lose my friend.... i think the best i can do is monitor him for infections and keep the water clean..sigh, i wish he'll be alright..Thanks for all your help guys!!

my rtc once did that, he was on frozen bloodworms since i got him at like 1.5 inches. once he reached around 4 inches, he stopped eating bloodworms. I thought something was wrong, but the water parameters were fine. Well lets put it this way, in my opinion the RTC outgrows certain food when it reaches certain sizes. Its now on market prawns and loving it.
