My 16 yr old son caught a river rat from the pond across the street,he then threw it in my tank alive,and my RTC swallowed it alive,is this good or bad??It was like 7-8 inches long,and in 1 gulp gone!!

I would be more concerned about any desieses that it had than anything else... as far as will your RTC be ok with eating it... you know the rule.. if it fits in it's mouth then it'll eat it... if it can't digest it... you'll see it again.
Thats what I assumed when I read it... different names in different parts of the world... but the same thing ... a RAT! lol
