RTC finally killed my TSN.....Of equal size !!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
and i was hoping to be able to house him with my rtc, but that'll never happen at this rate.

My LFS has a RTC called Eric in a 180, he has been in it for literaly years, as long as I have been going there and must be close to 10 years now, and its about 10, maybe 11" and has been the whole time.

They have bigger ponds etc for him no problem, just he stopped growing.

i know of someone that has a 2' 10 year old rtc in a 180, freaky ish happens, but its not the norm.

LFS here feed all their fish crap flakes only to keep their growth minimal. They have a baby marble catfish for 2 months now and it's only grown from 2.5" to 3". Got mine the same time, and it's went from 2" to 8". I don't think it has anything to do with individual growth. They are basically only giving it enough to stunt it.

Maybe thats the case in some cases, but not this one, the shop in question is run by father and son, the RTC is their pet, they dote on it.

Their tanks are the cleanest I have ever seen, they are incredibly responsible selling fish to people who know what theyre doing etc.

They are expensive no doubt, but the quality is second to none.

They have a massive indoor pond he could happily go in, but is fine where he is in the tank, he just stopped growing, he grew really quick up to 10" then just stopped, then grew VERY slowly over the last 10 or more years I have been going to the size he is now.

Fish are like people I think, some grow very tall and big, some stay very short, my best friend called diddy is just over 5 foot in well over 6 foot.

Dont think fish are much different, not all carp grow into monsters either :)
