rtc full grown size

what is the full grown size of red tailed catfish in captivity because i was researching and the rtc in the amazon has been known to grow large enough to swallow children whole i would say a cat that big would have to be 200 to 300 pounds

they use full chickens when fishing for these guys on the mekong.
i read somewhere on the net.
as for rtc an fully grown adult could probably swallow a full chicken no probs
my mate had 1 that was well capable of it going by mouth size.and it was only 3 years old at 38"

Dude thats a mekong cat not an RTC ... RTCs can grow to 4' . I dont know how that equvicates to pounds but i imagine thats not very light

ummm... well considering we are talking about a SOUTH AMERICAN REDTAILED CATFISH and not a parron... well just say that there was some confusion in the reply lol

The reported child being eatten was back in the 70's and was apparently a 5 ish year old boy which the RTC ended up choking on and dying... although they do get huge as is shown below
