RTC Growth Rate, Coloration answers with pics!

in 3months he grew from 2'' to 14'' ?
 
Good food brings out good color. He looks great.
 
Feeding frozen blood worm and beefheart cubes in the morning. Raw shrimp at night. Getting a bit expensive but thankfully Costco has mega sized bags of frozen shrimp at a cheap price.

Yes he grew that much, that fast!
 
Thanks for posting this. It definitely helps people see what their growth rates can be, and shows how fast you can have a tank buster on their hands. A lot of people don't think that its possible for fish to grow like that and think that they will have more time before they have to upgrade. It usually comes faster than people realize. BTW cute fishy. He looks like a lot of fun. :)

my RTC started to eat from my hand since Day 1 when I got him home which was a few weeks ago when he was barely 7 inches, he's pushing 10" now and comes to my hand everytime i put it in the water.

Check that, my RTC is now 1 foot. I guess I underestimated its growth rate. I know their growth size, but not their rate.

I purposely got a juvy RTC so that I can grow out its foot long tankmates, but at this rate, he will be 3' in no time and his tank mates will be 1.5'-2' by then, not a good mix :( I think I need to sell this baby
