The Red Tail Catfishes, are real messy, so ill have to ask what everyone else asked, when was your last waterchange, and buttom vacuum?
If i sometimes when i buttom vac, i find that theres alot of decomposing food, i fixed this by feeding less, maybe thats the case here too? decomposing food, really spikes the waterquality.
Whats your future plan with him? Hes gonna get huge, i hope hes gonna be one of the Red tails catfishes, that gets a proper home.

Good luck, hope you'll figure it out.Did a water change 1/4 yesterday and gonna do another here in an hour or so. I vacuumed yesterday and do it weekly. Ammonia is still says safe on my kit and my ammonia alert.

He is 8'' in a 150 with an arowana 2 bichirs 2 peacock bass and a severum.
