Yep, I did the same with my new 210. Added all the new media to my sump on the 450 for a weekend while I sat up the 210. Then took that and a little extra media from sump on the 450 and tossed it in the 210's sump. Had my RTC in the next day with trace ammonia the first night...but all cleared up the next morning. No issues with the RTC.
I have a bunch of hob's as well and just toss the media in the sump when I'm not using them. Then if I ever need a hospital tank, the empty 55 in the garage is ready to go.
