My father bought this RTC a couple of months ago and i thought i would give it to my aunt who has a pond in florida once it was too big for my tank. that time is now hes is a good 12-14in,he is in very good shape hand feeds will eat pellets, shrimp and tilapia. make me an offer i dont know how much they go for at this size, he needs a new home!

It's a beauty, but good luck getting a dime for it. I'd estimate 99.9% of these fish die or are looking to be re-homed because of their enormous size. To be honest, you'll be lucky if you can even find a taker for free. :(

i hope i do man it would be a shame for this fish to go to waste its such a beautiful fish!! wish i could keep it but i cant have a bigger tank riight now :/

It's not even about a tank with a RTC. You're looking at a multi thousand gallon pond to properly house it. That's a huge financial and lifestyle commitment. These fish shouldn't be sold unless someone already has a home for it.

But YOU never had the home for it. People make these plans all the time and there's always some reason or another that they fall through. Don't mistake what I'm saying as a personal attack, because some of the blame belongs to the LFS that sold it to you in the first place. My best suggestion for you is to change the post to say that you made a mistake and would really love to see this fish go to a good home. I hate to be that blunt about it, but these threads pop up constantly whether it's on here or another forum/craigslist.
