rtc living in yellow water,,

i was contacted by a guy who said i could take his rtc as it was getting too big for his tank ,

so i travelled a hour or so to go and have a look ,

i just had to have it as it sports a lovely white spot above the left of its mouth , kinda like a marilyn monroe spot ,
soooooooo cute ,

plus it was in a 48x15x15 ,,,,,,,,,,, with a huge oscar , ,

this rtc is 15 inches long

the yellow water ,,,,,,,,,,,yuck,,,,,,,,,, i tested it and nitrate was off the scale

here you see the nice little beauty spot

he is now settled and exploring his new home ,

I don't blame you... I use my RTC's as punishment for fish that piss me off...although... I put a Pleco that killed one of my hybrids in with my biggest RTC... funny enough... he hasn't eatten him in months...But I know it's coming... I'm counting on it LOL

Nice redtail did he have any wood in that tank? the tannings maybe making the water dis-coloured.

no agression at all,, should there be?? ive not heard of agression unless you throw a pure shovelnose into the mix then maybe , , they seem pretty cool with each other sharing the same space , the smal fish are hard to catch , i am removing them a few at a time ,
