i agree definitely do u'r homework. but if u'r stuck on the rtc be ready to house him.
to answer u'r question though around here they're usually about 20 buks

mm...smal RTC are about $50 here <_<...and it depends on the LFS, theres a few taht will jack up the price if big, some will just try to get rid of it when big...I got a 11" for $20 a few months back...gave it to a friend

$35 for 1.5". Only took him a little over 2 months to reach 10". He'll be going in my big pond in less than 2 weeks!
