that looks bad ask your lfs about it. never seen that on a rtc used to have one but nothing like this

Yikes! Def. Never encountered that, glad hes still acting normal tho...if iodine is the solution, squid contains the highest amount of it 
hope that is somehow the cure for u. Dont waste ur money on squid from the lfs either, mine charges $16 for a meager bag of scraps. U can get a box of whole frozen calimari for $7-8 at kmart or a grocery store.
