dude dont listen to anyone at two feet they will be fine in a 240 mine are in a 240 and theres no problems as of yet but within a year or so when i move into my house there will be a basement 2500 acrylic going in about 1.5 in thick but the only thing i can find thats maybe a little not so good is the height of the tank but other than that its a great tank good luck with the kitties,,

how do you pull off the blue lighting though? that question of mine has been hovering for like three posts lol.
nope. just 2 18" actinic lights. 1 on each side of the tank with the back of the glass painted blue with glass paint. actually turned out alot better than i thought it would. i also added some dither fish just to look at while the cats where motionless.. a gt 1 african and some silver dollars. im likin the looks so far. the cats are about 7.5" so about half an inch of growth in a little over a week
so their growth has slowed down a little bit? do you just let the tank get the natural lighting of the room during the day then have the blue lights on at night? do the blue lights cost anymore to run than normal lights?
