hey i have a 2 year old 40'' rtc and he is shedding his slime coat what could cause this ? and how do i help him out if i can...also could it be cause i changed him from his old tank to a much bigger tank? and he stressed? or something else?

i allway thort mine was just shedding skin never really thort much about it really . is yours still eatting ok ? norm a good way to tell if there not happy
same as mine i wouldent worry to much u will soon no wen something up with him\her plus your water chem is fine
well if he gos off his food or may be starts acting strange just keep an eye on him but if hes eatting i would say hes fine
Yeah, sounds fine from every person i've heard of with a RTC that does this... something could have just spooked him, as long as he's eating and active I wouldn't worry about it, some people report they do this often for years in huge ponds for no apparent reason.
