RTC swallowed a rock

rtc finally spitted out the rock.but i don't think that'll be the last.lol...
i'm wondering also,do they have teeth?more specifically,predatory teeth?and also,do they breathe atmospheric air too?cause i haven't seen mine ever go up to the surface to gulp air.IDK,maybe i'm just missin' it.
 
I would remove any stones he might be able to eat. Better safe than sorry.

No large predatory teeth. RTC's are more gulp and swallow hole than chew it up first fish.

And nope, they don't breath atmospheric air.

I lost my RTC Tuesday. He jumped out of the tank. Found him stuck to the floor when I got home from work. He took a gasp when I picked him up so I tried to save him by putting him the tank and running water over his gills, but a few hours later he was out cold.

sorry to hear that..:(.how big was he?
i tried hand feeding him and i felt nothing,he also gulped a part of my finger.:grinno:
 
hey i guess it is a little late, but if a catfish swallows anything that it wasn't supposed to they will regurgitate it eventually. i had a pictus swallow a marble, and then he puked it up again. then he swallowed it again and again. he just kept eating them and puking them up again. hope this helps anyone...
