RTC tank mates?

that happend to me once but with a black arro that was 7in and a RTxTSN that was 6in

i woke up went downstairs to my fish room and started feeding then i didnt see my black arro i was like i bet hes hiding (my tank was full of drift wood and plants so i didnt really pay to much attention i was sleepy too) so i leave then i return at night to feed agian and i still didnt see him i was like wtf did he jump out hmm.. so i look around and see no dead corpse of the BA so them i look in my tank to make sure hes not hiding then i see that OMFG my Black arrowana is in my RTCxTSN stomach SON OF A.. well aboue 3months from today my RTCxTSN hyrbid had a 230$ meal


today hes somewere, i dont give 2 S#hit were, I gave him to who i got him from so he could be anywere.

but thats my story :cry::cry: RIP: MICHEAL :RIP:cry::cry:

U may want to consider gator gar. I keep my RTCs with them. Works quite nice. It is by no means a formula for success. Like basslover said, you get something small then it becomes RTC, you get something bigger there is a chance that your RTC becomes food or punching bag.

Trial and error. Peacock Bass's experiences is not uncommon for RTC owners (my casualty list are silver aro and arapaima).

My mom hates my RTCs after one of them ate silver aro (then arapaima). Trial and error. Sorry for the BA
 
Im keeping my rtc/tsn (currently 9") with 2 koi (about 7" each) . havent had any problems so far but the cat is growing much faster than the koi. just make sure to buy a koi thats like 5 times larger than your rtc. your could also try pbass, gator gars, pimas, or large channel cats
