RTC-TSN hybrid how are they made

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe its hormones and artificial spawning. Kind of like they do with salmon in hatcheries. And I'm pretty sure at least most hybrids are sterile... kind of like mules...cross a donkey and a horse you can't cross a mule with either cause their sterile.

But Im sure someone else around here knows a lot more than I do

There are some real sick people out there. i'll leave it at that.

I know, but I'm not tellin ya nutin! Ok, ok, so they strip(cut) eggs out of the female of one species, then do the same with the testis of the male of the other species, there is a special solution that they combine them in, and voila! Hybrid catfishies! Hope this helps. More than likely both parents have to die in order to achieve this, and it's very painstaking to try and match up their cycles so that they spawn at the same time. Only about %25 actually fertilize and of those only about 25% actually survive to go on for food production or make it into the hobby. Of those only a very small number will ever make it to the size of mine!!!! LOL!!!

Super glue!:D

Yay! I was pretty much right with less details... hahaha
Good answer necro
