RTC/TSN problem

Hello, everyone.
i need some help my rtc/tsn 5 days ago had eaten his magnet for cleaning the glass not pukked yet the vet said ne would retrive it for £100.00 what do you all think?

he is now 30ins. the magnet was/is 4in by 1in by 1in and hanging in his gut any help please.

well it seems the best way to retrieve it without harming the catfish is by going with the $100...so go with that and it should be fine...but how long has it been in the gut or where ever it was stuck in?

Thats actually closer to $200 and they said it has been in the belly for 5 days...

My hybrid when he was 28" had two large rocks in his belly for over a month. One day I just decided to stuff him with night crawlers/earth worms. After he was completely stuffed he puked it and the rocks back up. the rocks were 3" dia each, he ate normal, but finally they came back up.

Could be worth a try... might save some coin... just make sure that you do a water change QUICK

thanks for all the help lads, maybe to over feed is the best opption as he's got to be taken to the vet.

Normally I wouldn't suggest overfeeding a catfish, but in this case I say go for it and let us know how it comes out(sticky and gooey probably)! Love to save you some money on that one, but if it comes to surgery take pics and post them here.
