rtc with asian rtc?

Asian RTC are very mean. They kill fish they don't even eat. I wouldn't remove the divider. Also, don't forget to start building your 1500-gallon-or-so pond!
I just thought of this... you might want to check out the catfish forum on the Asian and see if anyone keeps them with other fish when full grown, either. You might need two ponds...
The ARTC will most likely destroy it. It'll be gradual, but he'll pick on the SARTC constantly when the lights go out. I had mine together with a TSN, everything was fine for awhile and then one morning I woke up and the TSN had a bite mark. The ARTC was out of the tank in a matter of seconds.
He's going to his new home today actually.
Seriously though, the ARTC is a one fish per aquarium type...unless you're rocking out thousands of gallons and plenty of hiding spaces for whatever else is in there with him.
They wear down fish, beat up fish, bite fish until they die unlike most cats that just swallow things hole and won't eat it if they can't get it in their mouths.

really? then i must have i.d. it wrong it was labelled as albno mystus at the fish store. i searched for some pictures and saw an albino asian rtc that looks very much like it. its not aggresive at all. shares the tank with 2 slightly smaller bala sharks and a hujeta gar of the same length for months with no problems at all. very shy and always hiding...
Wait until your ARTC gets to be about 12" and then watch the rest of your fish disappear or find bits of pieces of them floating at the top.
