Sorry i miss read your post you said tank well it will depend on what size tank you are planning on and weather you are going to go for a sump filtration system or external filter if you got say a 6x2x2 then id say 2x Eheim profeshional 3's that what i use to run on my tank befor i built the pond

i think i will have a hard time assembling a sump system..its not that popular here in the philippines..but if anyone can give me a walk through on a DIY sump system then maybe i can pull it off...if not what other type of filter would be great?
On a 6X2X2 you could easily set it up so that a pump in the main tank lifts water from the tank to a simple pond filter or even home made filter and then let gravity feed it back to the tank.
Have a look through the filtration part of this forum and you will see loads.
Basically you just need to build something like the one on top of your current tank, just a LOT bigger.
