Please stop shouting at us. All caps=shouting. Ditto r45 comment. After 40 years in this hobby, I've only recently seen the cornucopia of hybrids available today. Here's a pic of mt RTCxTSN cat:

what captive size do these hybrids usually achieve?

I've never seen a huge one.
both of the two fish in question tsn & rtc can grow to lenghts of 3' at lest in the wild . there is some thing in play here called HYBRID VIGAR meaning generaly hybrid fish grow larger faster and some times more agressive then both contributing fish involved. oddball will soon find out how big they get!!

NIIICE! 300gal , I thought royal's grew tall verse's long. 18'' damm I use to have placos with my fish but the ammonia was a hassle dew to the amount of waste they make . an old friend has a royal at about 6'' . the place I go to for supply's waterbury aquarium (non public) thats the name of his shop for some reason he's got a set of RB'S that are about the size of dinner plates( from behind the gill to begining of tail ) he's often treats them to small dog bones! wierd to see a fish eat a dog bone but cool anyway..

My RB pacus occassionally get monkey chow, dog treats and cat treats (if there's vegetable matter in them.

You're right on about panaques putting out a lot of waste. I solved that problem by using a bead filter rated to 1200gals with fish as opposed to using a filter rated only for the 300gal size of the tank. An added bonus is this filter has a backwash capability which I put to good use once a week. I use a pool pre-filter leaf screen to catch the major portion of ground up driftwood my panaque chews up. It always looks like yesterdays coffee grounds in that screen box.
