?
when i moved my tsn to the the 55 gallon tank to the 8000 gallon pond the rtc x tsn viciously attacked the tsn ripping ris fins i put the tsn back in the tank for now. i dont see whats the problem since the hybrid is only 2 inches larger than the tsn. hybrid is 11 inches and tsn is 9 inches. theres also a 6 inch rtc in the pond and he never bothers him any help will be useful since i cant keep the tsn in the tank forever

A little aggression isn't uncommon when adding fish and RTCxTSN hybrids are sometimes a bit violent, certainly more aggressive than than most RTC or TSN.

Did you add them all at the same time? May be a territorial act.

My guys went threw this phase.. and imo as long as its just the fins getting shredded abit.. I'de leave them together ( since you already pulled him let him heal-up and de-traumatize, then try again) My cats had to figure out who was "top dog" good chance one or the other made that bid and the other one "called him out" If its just abit of fin shredding ect its not seriouse aggression... if the one is constantly chasing/aggressing then its def a pull situation. Just like other fish they develop a pecking order, the hard part is figuring out when it's "safe" to let them slap each other around abit and when serious intent is being made.

When you try again move any décor around like you would w/ cichlids... maybe take the hybrid out for a measure? that lil' bit of stress might make the initial intros go smoother. Otherwise a good feeding of the hybrid the day before might help as well if hes being the aggressor. otherwise making sure to feed the fish good that night. when my guys go a few extra days sometimes they will squabble abit.. imo its getting out "hunger aggression".

Yeah feed the pond fish until theyre stuffed then add the new fish

i would say feed heavy in pond one night, next morning move decor around and do a partial cool water change (which should slow the fish down slightly) then add new fish.(dont feed the fish to be moved though).

thanks for all your help guys i put the hybrid back in the tank as well since he is aggressive against the other fish as well. he is with the tsn in the tank he hasn't become aggressive but he is still outgrowing my tsn and rtc is there any way to make the tsn grow at the same rate or faster the hybrid eats twice as much as the tsn and finds the food quickly while the tsn is slow
current sizes are
tank stock -
tsn 9 inches
rtc x tsn 11 inches
pond stock -
rtc 7 inches he is stunted and grows slowly
4 id sharks 10 inches

i fed the pond fish and they seem to be a lot happy since the hybrid is gone they ate more and are more active since i removed the hybrid. but the problem still is that the hybrid is outgrowing all of my fish

the hybrid is subjected to something called hybrid vigor which means he will grow larger, faster
