Oh yes and at just about 6 inches I'm already on the hunt for the biggest tanks I can afford I have been and as he/she seems to enjoy it plan to continue live feeding, guppies at the moment but will move to goldfish when the time comes maybe some crustaceans and yes big tank mates and mixed level swimmers seem to be what will work for sure
Also a warning, live goldfish have like little to no nutritional value and I’ve heard are high in thiamese as well as carry many diseases and parasites
Guppies are really big parasite transmitters so I would recommend to stop live feeding and continue if your breed your own or quarantine them throughly (freezing is not enough either)
You can do a pool pond but the spines may pop the pool but I’ve heard of people keeping them for years without a tear pools are rather cheap and you can use diy trash can filters

I wouldn’t feed it any type of live feeder fish from a pet store. Those are usually loaded with parasites and don’t provide much nutritional value

Mine seems to grow well also was told in about a year from purchase will reach a foot
I think definitely more than that, my tsn which are slow growers compared to rtc had reached 1 foot in around 6 months, and I've noticed the hybrid grows faster with the help of the rtc gene so maybe around 1½ - 2 feet in just a year, my rtc's are closing to 1½ feet in 6 months, and I dont power feed them.
