ive had my rtc x tsn for 2 months now and hes already outgrown the 25 gallon tank.by the end of november i should hav a 75 gallon tank to put him and my largest pleco in. my hybrid is 8in. and my pleco is 7in. im wondering if theres any other cool catfish that would be good tankmates for them in their new home.

Other large catfish, would work, but I strongly hope you have more than a 75 gal. for him, he can get over 3 foot you know?

He'll need a good 1000gal tank when he's up to size (probably less than a year, mine grew from 3" to 18" in just 5 months) and good tank mates for him then would be Pacu, Pangasius, or other large Pim Catfish that reach a similar size (if you've enough room for them!) like a normal RTC or TSN.

i will probably have to give him back once he gets that big i didnt know whati was getting myself into that sucks i like him alot
Stock tank's aren't that expensive. When he outgrows the 75g. But if you have to give him back when he outgrows the 75g then enjoy him while you got him. They are a fun cat to watch.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that the larger they are the harder they become to rehome. They are great fish, but they require a lot of space. To give you an idea on your timing, I'm putting together a 600 gallon for my RTCxTSN who is 1 year old and 23+" (got him at 3"), and, already, I'm starting to consider how I will house him when he outgrows this one. They're really fun fish, but they need a small swimming pool eventually.

ive seen necros and i do think they need large tanks. I have one and he is getting huge. But if you get the right dimension tank you will not need a 1000 gallon tank. come on now
