We have a wolf hybrid who was quite a bit of money but not as much as from a big name breeder wouldve been. Theyre expensive dogs, but a regular dog (depending on breed or papers) are cheaper, but a mutt (which would be a hybrid of all sorts of dogs) is more or less free... So I guess fish are kinda the same way. Depends on the species, what type of hybrid, and of course how big.

yeah but wolves are a differnt story. i resently looked into getting one. you cant have full bred without a permit. and the 98% ones ive seen for $900. But a friend of mine got theres for free and was told it was a black lab. hahaha The dogs 2x the size of a lab. they came close to giving him to me but they fell for him to hard

but when you think about it the pure breeds go for more than the mixes in most cases. i used to breed wiemaraners and since we had his papers that said our male was pure breed from 50 years of genes the pups were worth alot more.

not always true though. we breed lab husky mixes. a white husky and light yellow lab and they go for about 500. people want them because labs are hunters but with the husky they can stand more extreme weather. & only the lab is purebred.

yeah i guess your right. but isnt that more of selective breeding for a purpose. We sold the wiems for 800 but mixes only go for 200. i guess it really depends on that the exact species is thats being mixed. i think the real issue with the RTCxTSN is that they were breed for use as a food source. and they are so massly produced. thats why we find them for so cheap.

Im hopefully picking up another hybrid and a larger redtail this weekend. I will get pics when I can. The hybrid is a little smaller than mine but I think ill set him in the 125g, depending how big he is when we get there and see actual size. The redtail is just gonna have to go into the the pond. Hes 18" i think and I know that those 3 in a 125g would be bad but hoping the two hybrids would be okay for awhile since they are alone.

well thats gonna be awsome. i just moved my RTC to a 330 i just finished. He got stressed and lost all his color again. but tomorrow i think my LFS is getting in a hybrid. dependin on the condition it in i might get it. 20 bucks but i guess that better than 3 hours of driving to get one for 6. haha oh well.
