$ 79.99 is this too much money for a 12"-14" fat RTC?

I am thinking abt trying to trade my LSN for a good deal on it

Decent price, I would more then likely have to pay more then that for a 5" specimen where I live. Every once in a while I will see someone trying to give there pet RTC away but it is always in the 2'+ range. :WHOA:

Hey Toxic: Ya' got room for a beast like that? I'm already looking at moving my 2 year old from the 450 to a 650. At less than 20", he ate 4 live 1 1/2lb channel cats (dithers) in a week.

Pic is not my RTC.......................................yet.

The thing is I LOVE CATFISH(yummy). I know how big they get.

I really doubt that it will get that big in a tank:ROFL:

If it does I will eat it!!!

I do alot of research before I buy any fish .money is not an option on geting bigger tanks

I wouldn't eat it (keep in mind I've eaten dozens of fish from my tanks). In TFH's Jumbo Fishes book, Axelrod wrote that he ate a RTC he caught after the local natives warned him that he shouldn't eat fish with red meat. He cooked and ate it anyway and was sick all that night.

no thats a good price!
the thing is though... he will probably cost more than that to feed!

Price is fine, if in good condition.
If you haven't owned a RTC before you will soon no why us guys and girls love them so much.
They become true pets, you go away on holiday and worry that he/she is ok (even if you have a knowledgeable friend to take care of it while you are away) :)
Enjoy.

Chris.

I would rather buy it small because those things have an astonishing growth rate give it a few months it will be around 10 inches.
