Baby ones are always a better I agree, fury.(mine was only 2'') but it's isn't always possible to get little guys sometimes, well here in the UK it isn't.

Chris.
is that the fish in your avatar?

very true. i got mine last february at 2' 1/2 inches. and its now at 10". i got some pics from tiny RTC to 10" now. let me know if you want to see the transformation and i'll post some pics. but some tiny RTC will cost you some $$ depending on where you're at. so $80 for that size i think it's good. they're probably selling at that price cuz that's how much they've fed it already not including expensive tankmates it decided to gulp down :grinyes: , minus the original cost fo the RTC.

For that size its a pretty decent price, an as stated before smallers ones are alot more fun an can be a great deal cheaper.

I would say the price is fair for the size. That being said, I much prefer to watch my fish grow up from babies, especially since this doesn't take much time with RTCs.

If you are looking for the instant gratification of a fish that has some girth and will quickly come to realize you are the master with the food, and you are willing to provide the living conditions that these monsters need, go for it.

^ i totally agree with black tip
monsters

A fish that big... you don't eat it.... it eats you. It's silver arow and RTC spawning season in peru. Miles and I will probably bring a handful of each up. They will be baby's though. Can I suggest a seamless tank for this fish... ;)
