What malawi haps said is good. May take the RTC anywere from a day to 2 weeks to settle in. What size tank is he in?

I can't even begin to express what alls wrong with that statement....
Fish or fishless cycle????
Anyway. allow three to four days for a new RTC to settle in. Provide several hiding places and don't expect to see the little guy very often for a while.
feed him/her AT NIGHT with the lights off. They DON'T enjoy having people around while they eat.
