  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for the derail OP. I think 6 months tops.

The RTC is about 8 and a half inches and only 5 months old! I really have to cut down on the feeding becouse when it was little i was pwer feeding it with krill and scallops. now i think two jumbo shrimp a week will be sufficient. and hopefully i can keep it for atleast 2 years until i make a tank just for him.

No chance at two year's.. You might make 8-10 months if you feed very light.

It will be 20'' easy in another 8 months. Period

Yup I'd also say 6-8 months tops in that tank. How I know is in my experience with keeping fish I have owned all those fishes u have mentioned and especially know alot about RTCs. I have owned a total of 4 RTC's before but not all at the same time. Purchased from babies and if fed and cared well they can reach to nearly 2 ft with in the 1st year. Average growth rate is 2"-3" per month and that's with good water parameters and temp. Once reached 2.5 ft which won't take long their growth rates slow down a bit depending on tank size. This pretty much goes with Gator Gars as well. Your TSN will grow around 16"-18" within the 1st year.

At the moment I currently own a 17" Gator Gar and a 14" RTC which I purchased 5 months ago at 3". Started my RTC in a 120g, then once reached to 7" upgraded to a 225g. Now at 14" upgraded to a 450g.
