RTC's with African cichlids

I just had to move my two baby RTCs from the 35g grow out tank to the 55g AC tank because the cats were killing off the baby plecos I just bought. The cats are about about 3.5" long and all the cichlids are about 4-5". I'm a little worried about the RTC's being in the cichlid tank though.
Do you guys think theyll be safe in there or should they be removed somehow?

I would not do it if i was you. red tails tend to get beat on tell they put some size on

Cichlids may be aggressive to the RTC especially when it is a baby.

Yea them cichlids'll beat'em up pretty darn bad

that's an easy meal for RTC's man. I would be more worried of the cats choking to death from trying to eat a bigger African.

in this scenario no one wins, either cat fish dies by cichlid hands or cichlids die by catfish gulp!

RTC WILL GULP DOWN THE CICHLIDS NO PROBLEM SO IF YOU LIKE THE CICHLIDS MOVE THE RTC

If you have NO other choice I would get a tank divider temp.

The RTCs kicked the two lab yellow cichlids out of their hiding places and kinda chill in there now. So far theyre all leaving each other alone. So I think I'll leave them there for a week or two until I can move them out.
