I got my new cat a few weeks ago, when i got him in the tank he was breathing heavy. I thought it was b/c of the shipping and new enviroment.. But he still breaths pretty heavy. Is this normal or no? What should I do

around an hour in half, then I put him in using a net...

did I do something wrong with him? Ive never had this problem before.

hmm did you make sure the temp was the same temp as the tub or whatever he was in and the parems were near the same?

I have noticed that some catfish just always seem to breath heavier. How heavily stocked is your tank? How is your filtration and airation?

I had a bunch of these guys come in couple weeks ago and they are eating and growing fine and all but I too noticed that they seem to breath heavily. not all but a few of them were. when I checked same fish later they were breathing normally then later again their fast again. Maybe this hybrid has small gills? i dont know but I noticed it aswell. however during feeding time they seem to go back to normal and just frenzy eat.

Yeah, He does the same thing. He'll be breathing heavy, then a few hours later I'll catch him breathing normal. So its just how he is then probably? thanks everyone. I thought I did something wrong.
