Go to the fish market and get tilapia, baby shrimp or squid. For the price you can't beat it. I get tilapia for 3.99 a pound instead of 4oz of krill for 5$ My big rtc ate many oscars, I had to power feed my favorite two oscars so they would grow quickly. But sadly It's just a matter of time. My big rtc 22" went after my 15" arowana two nights ago and he escaped with some serrious scale loss and injuries. I am concerned. there are two 8" tiger oscars in there also that he has left alone
hope your arowana is ok and that you haved moved him .i lost 2 platnum arowana the same size as my rtcxtsn in a week. i had my fish in a shed at the time and fort someone had stolen the first one. it was only that i saw him eat the second one that i new what had happend with the first.

The good thing is my Tiger Oscar is slightly bigger than my catfish, so I hope he doesn't end up lunch any time soon.

I would recommend seperating the RTC/TSN into a different tank before he eats more tankmates. They can pretty much eat anything that can fit in their mouths. They can grow up to 2 or more inches per month if fed and reach 2ft in a year if cared well. I had my RTC/TSN ate 2 of my 3" Pbass's when he was 5"...I then placed a splitter into my 38g growout then later I placed him in my 225g. He's pushing 7" now and I bought him on boxing day at 3".

I'm not worried about the tiger oscar in the immediate future... it'll take the cat at least a month or so before he's big enough to try eating him. I'm going to separate them as soon as possible, but I don't really have the means to do that right now.
