cruel cruel cruel why feed live fish when your RTxTSN can live perfectly happy on prepared and frozen

AGREED not to mention the chance of the fish getting sick from feeders

As above mate, mine was near 2 inch when i got him, loved blood worm, then after a few weeks he was on bits of prawn and muscle and never stopped since except the food got bigger in size and amount quickly and in the 11 weeks he has got to 11 inch and looking good, no need for live food, live bloodworm aside LOL,........oh and live arowoana arnt good....for me:irked::irked:

Keep the bass and grow him to be a beast.

I would either grow the bass, or fillet and then feed to the hybrids, perhaps even freeze the meat to kill some potential parisites that may be in it.

NO NO NO they carry parasites you can quarenteen for weeks but theirs no guarante that the bass wont still carry parasites as some arnt as showy

oddballs die younger when fed feeders as theirs going to be some time when the feeder will still cary the parasite and it prob will kill the fish if you feed frozen and prepared they will be more healthy and its better on the feeder and the fish

and i fully read your post :headbang2

grow him on or let him go he would grow into a great monster why wast it as food

i dont no why but im getting the feeling that your one of the people that get these fab monsters just for their personal feeding fun correct me if im rong

If the fish is disinfected properly there is little or no risk of feeding it dead and prepared. I know of quite a few well-known members on the forums that use wild fish as feeders, it's safe as long as you know what you are doing.

I think the original poster has good intentions, and know's what they are doing. Just looking for some advice is all. :)

i would freeze the bass for a couple of days first....i feed mine blood worms, pellets and they will snag a ghost shrimp if it gets to close.
