if you are hell bent on keeping it a good, fairly inexpensive, route would by one like i did with stock tubs. look at my pics for ideas if you want. if you can't do something at least that size as a temporary tank get rid of it asap. if you have any questions just pm me or ask in a forum like this. gl

I might get a stock tub. When i got him at my LFS i told the lady which tank he would be going in and she said he would be fine. I m probably going to get rid of him.

yea ur gunna need to either take him back or find someone that can take him off ur hands that has a nice size tank or buy a bigger tank i wish good luck to u and ur rtc ur both gunna need it but im glad he is only small now and he isnt crammed yet

i agree you need to get rid of that cat asap.i bought my first and only rtc 5 years ago and that was when i only had 25 yrs experience in fish keeping(KEEPING)!!!! now he is ready for a pond (5'x12'x32")that i am currently building.you need total dedication for these fish as they require constant attention(everyday).now i have little over 30 yrs exp. and bought a 6-8" ally gar for xmas. did i mention total dedication? there are lots of other smaller cats to start out with.gl
