Necrocanis had one in a 600g for a while, I think it ended up being about half the diameter of the pool. O.o

If you have room for possible upgrades in the future I say go for it.
 
you should have everything planed out and be ready for when it does get to the 4 or 5feet it grows. you might be able to. whats your dimensions ? i doubt you have the pond like 9X10 or something like it you have to atleast have a 9X9
 
im only 13, i was given an odd space to put the pond in it is 11x4 and almost 3ft is the max depth, the pond is kind of like a square and a circle with a wide cannal in between, its inhabitants-red belly pacu, jack dempsey, green terror, lmb, soon to be inhabitants- silver dat, peacock bass(ocellaris), maybe a small armatus, and a clown knife, u can tell me what i would not get if i got an rtc, tsn, or the hybrid

your pond is full a TSN get huge too they need a 3000gal pond. :)
 
so no way i could get a tsn, or rtc? im getting the pacu today, so no way at all, making a bigger pond is in no way an option, ive built my own bio-mechaical filter and bog, so i have great filtration, catfish r my favorite fish, i really want one of these guys
